Think it Over

You can’t solve a problem with the same mindset that created it.Albert EinsteinEvery decision is a conscious act.It is the result of a well-established pattern. We often use this pattern to collect data, analyze it, and draw conclusions without great conscious effort.

We do it because it works. And it works because our life experiences have refined the technique that gives us the best results most of the time. These decision patterns are often helpful. Because if we had to go through a six-step decision-making process every time we wanted to start the car or make a cup of coffee, we would never get very far or even wake up. The problem occurs when the pattern fails for some reason. .

For example, starting the car until the engine stops is routine. At this point, if we continue to use the same old technique of turning the key, we will only manage to drain the battery. Individuals, teams, companies, and even countries routinely follow a failed course of action. They continue to apply solutions that used to work, even though they are proven to no longer work. If you don’t get the results you want, stop the process.

Take a second look. Make a conscious effort to find a new solution. Find out what works now.
